We came here for our anniversary dinner and the ambiance of the restaurant is nice. For a Saturday, it was quite empty but it could have been because we came early. For the entrees, we ordered a ribeye and the seabass. Of the two entrees, we really liked the furikake crusted seabass, which came highly recommended by our server. It's an Asian take on the dish with vermicelli. It was light but tasty. 4 stars instead of 5 because the ribeye was pretty forgettable and so was the appetizer (I can't even remember what we ordered) - same with the drinks. However, it was a pleasant dining experience overall - with good service, food, and ambiance.

I eat at The Goldfinch regularly because it's walking distance from work. The service is always top notch. I can go during lunch or after work and I always get great service. They have a great cocktail program and great wines available. Their happy hour is also good because it's reasonable. The vibe is also cool here. There's a nice firepit outside, which makes it nice to eat outside even in cool weather and the patio is heated. Like, there are a lot of heaters outside. You might even get a bit too warm. The food is good, but sometimes it misses just a bit. Like, it needs a little bit more flavor or something. And, not necessarily salt, but it's just missing...something extra to make it really stand out. I don't know what that "pop" is, but it's missing. Anyway. It's a nice spot and I like it.

I had the lobster roll with French fries and it was very good. The group I was with had 10 people but we all received our food at the same time and the service was great, the server did not rush us but was always there refilling drinks and taking our order. The restaurant is beautiful as well, with beautiful paintings, lighting, and a fireplace outside.
